About this business

The contrast of sophisticated high-rise living with a traditional neighborly feel makes the Gateway a distinctive part of San Francisco. Set on an elevated plaza with easy pedestrian bridge access to Embarcadero Center, the Gateway consists of four high-rise towers amid a grouping of 58 two-story townhomes.

Golden Gateway Center is a great place to live I lived here for 2 years recently and found it to be so convenient if you are working in the Financial District. Safeway and Starbucks are downstairs and the Embarcadero Center is across the street, as is the Ferry Building. The view was amazing from the 18th floor. I fell in love with the parrots who hang out in the parks on either side of the building. I really don't have anything negative to say about the place except perhaps the price, but you get what you pay for. They even... read more

First off, I love living here. Yet, lets put this into prospective. A 1,000 sq foot residence in the zip code of 94111 to purchase is roughly 1.8 million. 20% down is $360,000 with a mortgage of $8,534 per month. R0aches and leaking pipes – This weekend the pipes broke on the 8th/9th floor and sewage leaked all the way down to the lobby. Leaked onto the third floor from a light right outside my door. My whole apartment smells like sewage, not to mention the hallways and the lobby. I heard this has happened before (albeit not as bad). R0aches everywhere. Do not move in here. Also they started construction outside my window a few weeks after I moved in (6 months ago) and I have not had natural light in my apt. ever since. Good location... read more
