I'm a regular at Funky Taco and usually order taco. As a semi-vegetarian (no pork, beef, but chicken OK) I usually go for the flour power (Cauliflower) and Thaico (chicken) but this time I went for the Chef's Special which was Tetelas de Flor y Quesillo (heirloom blue corn masa folded around oaxaca stuffed squash blossoms, lightly finished with salsa mach, lime crema and queso fresco. Garnished with pea tendrills). It was so unique and delicious and a truly Mexican dish that is worthy of Amano in Caldwell.
Brody took very good care of us tonite. You rock dude! Tacos were off the hook.
Tuesday - 1 hour and 40 minutes till we got our food. One of our party had a meeting - had to leave so he didn't get his order. The waitress was nice though. The food was just slow to come. They should have accounted for one of their busiest days. If you want to try their food, only commit when there are a few people sitting down before you and you are willing to wait. Is it worth the wait? I am on the fence.
We went without expectations and the tacos were delicious!! Highly recommended. Bonus, We came on Tuesday and they have great deals on Tuesday’s.
