The Freeze is known for it's World Famous Cheese Fries but also specializes in many reasonably priced (No $8 Sundaes!) delectable Ice Cream treats with our most popular being our Old Fashioned Banana Splits, as well as, the Beach Bum, Salty Dog and our Cotton Candy Dipped Cones. All of our Ice Cream is 94% fat free so it's not like "licking a stick of butter" like the Custard shops!

The. Best. Cheese. Fries. They also have the best Frito pies and sloppy joes- in the Midwest. The ice cream is always on point and they have something for every craving. The owners and staff are always welcoming and kind.... even when they are dealing with lines out the door. A true Crystal Lake staple!!
