As a replica of Bent's Fort, it's a cultural crossroads on the historic Santa Fe Trail. This area institution, which has been reviewed in the New York Times, serves up southwestern fare to everyone from lounging locals to heads of state including President Clinton during 1997's economic summit. Scrumptious servings of buffalo and elk tantalize the tongue. More traditional fare like salmon, filet mignon and even a vegetarian plate is also available. Open Monday to Friday at 5:30pm and at 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Delicious! We got the bison prime rib and it was well worth it. The mash potatoes with red chilie gravy was my favorite. The peanut butter stuffed jalapeños are a must try! Very neat place.

I loved the secluded table off to the right by the patio, which made me feel comfortable taking off my mask. The waiter Kevin was awesome and very amicable. He did a great job checking in on us and gave us good recommendations as to what appetizers to try. All my party was satisfied with his service.
