If you plan to use your pickup the way it was intended (to tow more than a lawnmower), I would NOT recommend installing a Flex-a-lite electric fan on it. Nowhere, that I have seen, in their literature does it give you this warning. After selling and installing on a few customers trucks that overheated constantly when towing their equipment or camper(switched back to oem fan and no problems now), I am stuck with fans that the warranty does not cover because they work fine with an empty truck.
