Best BBQ in Virginia--hands down. I'm from Texas and it's hard to find good Mexican or BBQ in Virginia. This is the absolute best BBQ I've had in years. The ribs, brisket, and pulled pork are perfectly prepared. Give it a try!
Best Catfish I have ever had in Farmville!! Shrimp app. was to die for, next time I'm in town got to try bbq !! Plus Nash made me feel like I was a regular!! We will be back !!
We drove 65 miles to eat there, I had Ribs my wife got the pulled pork and our friend got the brisket plus we shared the crab dip. It was well worth the drive and we will go back!! Bill Chester VA.
Being a former Tennessean my first response was this taste exactly like good ole' Tennessee BBQ! After reading the history I discovered that it originated from Memphis... LOL... Duh, No wonder it was so good! Great food! Can you purchase gift certificates?
It's not often that you find a gem like this in such a small town. The Fishin Pig has been recommended to me a few times in the past month, so the fam and I made the drive, and took a chance. We were pleasantly pleased with the atmosphere, service, friendliness and THE FOOD!!! There was not a single complaint! I worked for a diner that had the owner making rounds to talk to his customers personally, and it made its customers feel at home. We stopped there after reading reviews on trip advisor while visiting the lake. So glad I stumbled across this place. I had the ahi tuna tacos, AMAZING!!! My fiance had the two fist(?) Everything was great, the wings are a MUST and the beer was nice and cold!! It's a long drive for us,but I plan on going back once a month for those wings,beers, great food & atmosphere ���
We were waited on as soon as we got seated and we got our hot food soon after. I had to get the melt in your mouth Catfish and sweet potato fries. The staff will be seeing me again real soon.
Well....i have been praising the F&P , but today ; I was greatly disappointed. Took a friend there for a late lunch. He ordered the beef brisket platter. The meat was ice cold���. Then he ordered a piece of cake. It was so dry, it feel apart when the waitress sat it down in front of him. He drove 4 hours to see me and I took him to this restaurant. Wish i had taken him somewhere else. No excuse to serve cold food
Awesome as always. Drove from Powhatan. Highly recommended.
