Recommendedfirst time their food was excellent very clean elegant interior service was over the top I I would highly recommend it.
I highly recommend The First Post as a number one restaurant. The French onion soup is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy.

Was sat promptly, which was great! Wasn’t busy. Sat there for 15-20 minutes. No one came over to greet us. So we left. Just disappointed. Was with people who’ve never been there and talked the place up.
The food has always been fantastic the several times we have been here. Tonight we came here for my birthday for dinner with my husband, son and Mother in Law. We were seating right above the bar area where they had tons of really loud people. We could barely hear each other talk during our meal. I was a little disheartened that they couldn’t put us in a little more quiet area of the restaurant, especially when we arrived at 4:30 PM and there were plenty of other places we could have been seated.
The First Post is my favorite restaurant in York! The food is ALWAYS great and the staff are exceptional. Wayne and Dave never disappoint when they wait on your table, especially when you bring in a large party. They both have stellar personalities and they do a fabulous job of providing hospitality, a good laugh, and helpful insight when you're stuck on making a choice. The First Post is always my first choice 😊
The food is always fantastic, the drinks are tasty, and the service is wonderful! Wayne and Dave are amazing servers and will make sure your dining experience is superb. I love this restaurant!
