Four of us visited for lunch. Two of us got sick immediately afterward. Called to let them know, so they could take appropriate action to keep other customers from getting sick. They were in complete denial, uncaring, and blamed us. The lady washed off the table with a filthy sponge. The bathroom was yechy. We won't be going back, and recommend against this old, dirty farmhouse and their unconcerned staff. Very sad to report this experience.
The meatloaf sandwich, potatoes, and fried apples may have been the best meal I've ever eaten. I shared it with my 2 year old, and he also loved it. The fresh bread on the sandwich really made it. Making everything from scratch is amazing! You can taste the difference! The strawberry lemonade was so delicious! I like that the dessert menu was in an old fashioned toy. If you enjoy homestyle country cooking with an 'Old Soul' atmosphere , you will love this family run restaurant in the heart of the village of Metamora, Indiana. The prices are refreshingly reasonable with hearty portions. — with Pat Gordon Gulley.
First timers and breakfast was awesome!
1st time at The Farmhouse today, and we were very pleased. Delicious hot food, cozy atmosphere and very sweet hostess. We will be back!
Great home-cooked good old fashion food, and the portions are great for the price..I highly recommend going if you're in or around Metamora.
