Beware of billing practices. I was sent to collections for a bill I paid a year and a half ago after I called them 4 times and emailed them all the proof that I had paid it. They told me no news is good news so I don't need to keep calling them back to check on it. A year and a half later I get a bill from collections. I shouldn't have to waste this much of my life proving that I paid for something and now dealing with collections when I have never paid anything late in my life. It's not even a big bill. I understand you can’t choose your care when you visit an emergency room, but ER Physicians of Indianapolis (via St. Francis on Stop 11 in Indianapolis) has been the worst billing experience I’ve ever encountered—and I have extensive experience with medical billing across top facilities in the nation such as Mayo Clinic. As a result of this, we travel longer distances to another hospital, rather than ever return to St. Francis on Stop 11 Road.
