I went in there to visit and bring snacks because the first time I went there i felt so bad. The employees here are paid with the elderlys social security ONCE A MONTH! that was my first red flag. They do not regularly check nor change the sweet elderly people who live there. This place is AWFUL Do not take your parents / grandparents aunts or whoever here. Because they will not take care of them!
DO NOT BRING YOUR ELDERLY FAMILY MEMBERS HERE. This place is ILLEGALLY RAN. The owner, Allison, doesn’t want anything except money. They don’t care how your family members are treated- they hire anyone off the streets. One employee, Whitney Mitchel, is on meth and always strung out at work. She steals the old people’s’ belongings as well as from other employees- I know because she stole my moms cell phone, who also works here. My dad and stepmom spent their final months in hospice care at the Ellison House. The loving care and genuine compassion that they received from all of the staff, and especially from Allison, made their last days as easy as possible. The homey atmosphere, home-cooked meals, and small number of residents made it almost seem like they were in their own home.
