Specialties It is what it was...Housed in a revitalized 1928 warehouse on the the NE corner of Central and Lincoln in downtown Phoenix, the Duce is an authentic city neighborhood experience with genuine old school roots. Inside you'll find a restaurant dishing up homemade food from a 1965 Streamline travel trailer, an original art deco bar serving vintage organic cocktails and wine/beer, an old-fashioned soda fountain, a fresh organic produce and dairy market, a coffee joint, a repurposed surplus/vintage clothing line, a sho... read more

It is beyond disappointing that a business establishment with bigotry and racist undertones has clearly surfaced. There is absolutely no reason why my friends who participated and attended the poetry slam were treated this way. And don't play stupid, your establishment was well aware of the content of the venue when scheduling. As a promoter, as a creative artist in the community, I will not patronize your obviously bigoted establishment.

In town for a wedding and stopped at this gem. Amazing from scratch food with perfect portions. The atmosphere was so much fun and the service was just right. Cannot wait to visit again. Wish we had something like this place in LBC.

I've been here before but never again. To have an event that has been planned for months get shut down due to censorship by management and possibly too much color in the venue. I attempted to over look your participation in the gentrification going on down town because you have yoga there. But please believe that I am on protest of this place as soon as I walk out the door. Any yoga event, eating event....anything. So disappointed but not surprised. . Service has always been questionable when I came here. Sincerely A former ... read more

We came tonight to hear #Urban #Poetry in #Downtown #Phoenix. Supporting the arts instead of thug life, we were shocked to see the owner call and kick out the poetry group for curse words on their t-shirts and poetry they do not like (no one even took the mic). Meanwhile, the empty venue was filled with patrons the comedy troupe brought in ordering drinks and dinner that would have been better down the road. The Duce may have censored our evening, but they have now also censored their clientele. Gia Heller CEO, The Phoenix B... read more

Horrible experience tonight at the Duce. An event worked on for months, ruined because management didn't have it together with their communication. Rachel, the event coordinator did a great job at accommodating us, and doing what seemed to be her job! The rest of staff was rude, stand offish, wierd looks, etc from the very beginning of walking in to set up for the event. It's one thing to not allow an event again, but it's certainly another to stop a paying event, already in session, with people enjoying themselves... Drinks... read more

Great venue! Unfortunately, I'll have to pass up on it next time due to customer service, it was horrible. The staff on the food side were not friendly, and quite frankly not "people" persons. One lady at the "order here" stand had a nose piercing and kept messing with it with her finger(almost like picking her nose) and serving drinks with straws and putting fruits in drinks with those same fingers...pretty gross. We also waited for 45 minutes for our food. Overall, great venue and fun games, but horrible service, I will no... read more
