Service was lack luster. Food was nothing to call home about. They were out of whatever the special was by 5 pm. Whitefish basket became their special, not great. Another table asked for a certain beer and they were out since early the week before and it was a UP beer. Would not go back. Luckily we had a discount from our hotel so we didn't have to pay full price.
It's was the worst food ever. My wife ordered a four piece chicken dinner , when it to came the table no white meat was on the plate.the waitress said there was , there was two thighs. I ordered the shrimp special and got a perch plate. Stay away from the Dogturd.
The staff is not interested in new customers.....only locals and if you are from Wisconsin it only gets worse from there. Food was alright, but staff's attitude takes away from everything else.......wouldn't recommend!!
Waitress was pleasant, but the food wasn't that great. Over priced special for just a cheeseburger.. Wasn't impressed with how dark no dank it was either

My friend and I ate lunch at the Dogpatch and were greeted pleasantly by a hostess who sat us at one of the few remaining tables. Despite being busy with several large parties we were waited on almost immediately by a very capable waitress. We chose to have the soup and salad bar. Although the salad bar was a little sparse it was very fresh and frequently replenished! The soup was Stuffed Bell Pepper and was excellent! I eat at the Dogpatch every year and have never been disappointed. I hope to keep up the tradition!!
They only offered a breakfeat buffet which wasn't a bad price ,not a bad variety but pretty dry ...
Great food, great service and something different!
It is a fun restaurant, but the quality of food not there. I got a chicken sandwich with mushrooms (canned) and swiss cheese (sliced like American cheese). Disappointing.
