We had a fantastic dinner at The District in Sanford! I had the pork chop, and it was perfectly cooked to a beautiful medium— tender, juicy, and full of flavor. My wife had the rock shrimp and loved every bite. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was super attentive and friendly, really added to the great experience. So we had dinner here last night. We chose this restaurant because we thought the prices were reasonable (at least the prices we saw on the internet). However, they are now more expensive than the listed prices, and so we did not feel the food merited the current prices. I would have rated the food 3.5, not quite 4 star. The service was excellent though - slightly slow out of the kitchen, but our servers were attentive. We had the short ribs ($33) and Filet au Poivre ($44). Everything was just okay, I guess. I dont know how this place isn't rated higher. The food was out of this world. I had been looking for good seafood for a while now, finally found it!
Menu changes so don't fall in love with a certain dish but fear not everything is so delicious! It is a little pricey but well worth it. My husband and I always look forward to date nights at The District.
