My time at TDH has been a life changing experience. The classes and meetings they put on teach wonderful coping skills to take out into the real world after you leave the center. Specifically, the staff and counselors do a wonderful job of making you feel safe and comfortable. They so clearly care about every single client that comes in. I'm incredibly grateful to TDH for showing me how amazing life can be.
I've been here for 5 days so far but this place is absolutely amazing. There are plenty of fellow clients to interact with but it doesn't feel too crowded. The facilities are kept nice and clean and they provide everything you need in your recovery; food, water, and healthcare. There is an on-site nursing staff 24/7 and they carefully monitor you for the first 7 days while you are detoxing from substance abuse. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The people at Discovery House are some of the most caring and real people i have come across in my addiction. I truly believe if i had not found this place i would not stand a chance. Hopefully i am able to take what i learn here home and continue my sobriety and maybe help someone else as well.
This experience is better than I expected it to be the staff really welcomes you and makes you feel at home. It is a safe environment with good food counselors and support staff like Devonne that are here to help make it easier to open up and not be so down about your situation. Things can get better and Discovery house is a good head start.
Much respect and love to Faith at the Discovery house she’s so down to earth and care for all the clients you could talk to her about anything that’s on your mind she always as the right words for you. If you really need to get your life together and need assistance then this is the right place to get that help. Not to mention the good food to fill you up.
