I was worried I would have to give up the hobby when I moved from Ceres. I was pretty spoiled with Tropical Heaven in Modesto and then I found The Deep. My passion is alive and well.
I have stocked over half my tank from the DEEP, and have never been disappointed. I have been a Freshwater fish keeper for 15 years now. And I still learn a lot from Mike. It's my first and only choice when I am looking for fish or anything tank related. And if he doesn't have it, Mike can always get it. Great Store, Great People.
Don't let the outside of the store fool you: this place has tons of fish! The owners are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The prices are outlandishly good too! The Deep is a virtual playground if you enjoy rare, beautiful fish.
BEST SELECTION BEST PRICES AND VERY INFORMATIVE ....
Returning to having a salt water tank after 30 years and got really excited when I found The Deep. Having read a few books on reef tanks I felt overwhelmed with all the new technology in the hobby. It seemed overpowering and then when I walked into the Deep and in talking with Mike I found he shared my interest in keeping things simple and way less expensive than the new methods. If your looking for friendly , knowledge and a large variety of fish and corals this is the shop for you. I

Mike has helped me out a lot,never seems to get bothered by my questions and always takes time to answer my questions and helps me figure out what im doing wrong. Very knowledgeable, and puts up with my kids when i have to bring them. And great prices!!! Thanks mike.
