Nice And fresh new facility. Very organized. I was in and out no problems.
I would have gave them 0 if it was an option. Never answer their phone, keeping me on hold twice for more than 1 hour and still 3 months after ordered, still waiting for a birth certificate! This is the most ridiculous and corrupt place in DC!
To be honest the employees and services was awesome I drove from nc to get a birth certificate to get a passport with me thinking everything you do with the government is always some extra stuff but not this time I was in and out with no problems but cell service and no wifi but the employees
I cannot say that I usually enjoy going to a DC municipal department. Most folks don't. The DC Department of Vital Records, however, is shockingly pleasant. The hours are limited, and the parking is horrible (but it's DC, so the bar is low), but service is quick and competent, the greeters are friendly and helpful, security is polite, and the bathrooms are clean. It is the only municipal agency where I consistently manage to get in and out within an hour and I don't feel like all of my nerves have been abraded with industria... read more
