I've lived at many rented houses and apartments throughout my life, NEVER has any of them been as bad as THIS one. 1.) I don't live here, but do I know people who do - and I've told them to move out immediately. The way the management has tried to hide the sinkhole and the subsequent investigation, risk assessment, and remediation does not appear to be in compliance with Florida statute and building codes. Things like sinkholes happen, but people should feel safe in their homes, be able to trust the information given, and not feel like their rent payments are more important than their lives. Based on the feedback of current residents and the recent behaviors of this particular apartment complex following a crisis, I’d suggest taking your hard earned money elsewhere. It is important to feel safe in my home and protected by my housing complex’s actions.
This place has been a nightmare. • Move-in: We were initially placed in a roach-infested, smelly unit. They tried to convince us that it was fine. We had to push back just to get moved into another unit. We have not had bug issues in the second unit, and we have been here for about 2 years. • Safety: Our building was recently evacuated due to severe structural damage, in which a sidewalk collapsed into a lake.
