What a lovely old hotel that is convenient to everything! Parking? A bit pricey, but likely not within their control. Extremely walkable to everything once you self-park. The property is quirky, but lovely. SO happy to get some self-serve laundry done 5 days into out 14 day trip. On to the thermostat. I don't know if it's decorative or if it actually controls anything. The window treatments? Staff is friendly and attentive. Check in was quick and easy. They allowed us to have input on our room selection. I thought the coffee maker was broken (but it turned out to be the outlet) and they promptly replaced it. The drawback to this location is the facility is dated. The rooms are a bit senescent as is the lobby.
Room was hot and nothing could be done to correct, except a fan or move, but according to others staying (convention) all rooms were the same. Stayed two days. Lots of construction in the area as well. Making only one route to convention center and if you miss it, getting over the river is a challenge. Stayed May 29 through 31st.
The Hotel is conveniently connected to the Mayo Clinic, Rochester at the lower level. The staff such as the valet and receptionists were friendly and helpful.
Older rooms are small mi e was at least but well maintained
