I stayed here a week ago and will not stay there again. Went to an appointment and came back to get our food and they had already been in our room before check out time and through all our food out. We stay here cause it was close to the appointment.
Terrible experience! Not handicap accessible. I needed a hotel room same day and called the property to see if they had a Mayo discount which they did, and it was $50 more than what the normal rate was on hotels.com. I asked if they would just match the rate since I was on the phone with them. They said to just book with hotels.com. At the end of the day I went to the hotel and there was no parking anywhere. Welcome to parking hell.
It was one of the best hotels I've stayed in! It's right downtown Rochester MN. There are a lot of great places to visit and dining. The swimming pool is on the eleventh floor, with excellent view over looking downtown.
Everything was nice, they allowed us to check in early, rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The only issues was parking was $24+ a day and the was no free breakfast. I would recommend the Kahler inn over the Grand Hotel. It is about the same distance walk to the clinc, has tunnels, free parking and breakfast for a lower price.
