If I can rate less than 1 star I would! Donna displayed highly unprofessional behaviour & was describing an inappropriate TV show to a young girl, fully aware it was not suitable for her age. Despite the girl crying and repeatedly expressing that she did not want to do what Donna was asking, Donna continued to pressure her, showing a clear disregard for the child’s comfort and boundaries. DO NOT RECOMMEND
I rarely write reviews, but this experience was extremely upsetting and deserves to be shared. I engaged this psychologist to help my child in a sensitive situation, trusting that the process would be professional, objective, and focused on my child’s wellbeing. Instead, the report we received was shockingly biased, one-sided, and failed to reflect the full reality of the situation. Strong warning - NOT RECOMMENDED! After extensive research and multiple sessions with Donna Cameron, our team has lost all confidence in her professional ability. Her conduct, communication, and judgment consistently failed to meet even basic professional standards. We found her approach deeply concerning and, at times, seriously lacking in sound reasoning. In our view, she does not demonstrate the competence or professionalism required of a practising psychologist.
I would not recommend Donna Cameron to conduct family report writing for family court, especially in complex cases. Donna Cameron’s ’s assessment of our family and the processes, left me very concerned about both quality of the report and psychological safety of the children. Donna showed a lack of insight and minimisation of, ongoing family violence, as it was non-physical, despite this being a core issue in the matter.
