I’ve been going to Donna for 5 years, started during via telehealth during Covid, not for that reason but everyone needed it during that time. I genuinely wasn’t going to continue and she had that feeling, I’m pretty sure I made that clear. Like I said 5 years down the track she’s been a massive help with my disability degrading, and other matters we all struggle with on a day to day basis let alone we’ve got such a good bond out of all my apts I always have she gets rescheduled not canceled. Terrible - just awful. May daughter needed therapy from a different provider after being forced to use her services because of the court ordered therapy. Sad Sad Sad, so much corruption in the world and Victorian courts system allowing abuse to continue and cause further trauma to children.
Donna at The Couch Psychology is wonderful. Her genuine care for families, and especially for children, is what truly sets her apart. Her office is thoughtfully designed to help children feel comfortable and safe, making it easier for them to open up and engage. Donna combines warmth, compassion, and professionalism to create a supportive environment for the whole family. Highly recommended.
If I can rate less than 1 star I would! Donna displayed highly unprofessional behaviour & was describing an inappropriate TV show to a young girl, fully aware it was not suitable for her age. Despite the girl crying and repeatedly expressing that she did not want to do what Donna was asking, Donna continued to pressure her, showing a clear disregard for the child’s comfort and boundaries. DO NOT RECOMMEND
I rarely write reviews, but this experience was extremely upsetting and deserves to be shared. I engaged this psychologist to help my child in a sensitive situation, trusting that the process would be professional, objective, and focused on my child’s wellbeing. Instead, the report we received was shockingly biased, one-sided, and failed to reflect the full reality of the situation.
