The Cottage is a great place to meet friends. Lots of good food and drink choices. I recently had the fajitas and they were really good. The inside is sectioned off, due to its construction, into little nooks where you can have semi-private dining. It also has a larger room where you can have a party. When the weather permits the outside dining area is fantastic. They have occasional concerts in the parking lot and it’s very family oriented. You’ll see kids hanging out while parents socialize. I am from out of town but am here house/dog sitting for my Aunt and Uncle here in Crystal Lake. I had been looking for a place to get some sauteed shrimp and maybe some Rum! Girl, did I choose the right spot! Not only was the food excellent, everyone staff and guest alike were incredibly welcoming and friendly towards me! It was awesome and I felt like I was back at home around friends. What a cool way to feel among a bunch of strangers! Friendly staff! Great atmosphere. Central hang out after any events, from downtown Chicago or Wisconsin. Close to train station and UBER always available. I would highly recommend!
Was at the outside bar yesterday the bartender With my friend that’s never been there to get bad service from the bartender Adam He seem to occupied talking to a girl at the end of the bar than I order a beef and cheese sandwich which I complained about the sandwich for not having enough cheese on it. He takes my sandwich to the girl he was talking to making a joke about it than he walks behind me and laughs ! Totally uncalled for to have people acting in that manner ! Outstanding fish fry, great cole slaw too! Even on a Friday night the wait was not very long! Our waitress was very friendly! Paul Leech has made The Cottage a fun place to come to for outstanding food and service!
