I went today for the second time. It was amazing service. First time I had Jon, and today I had Roger. I couldn’t help, but not leave a review for this restaurant. Restaurant was clean down to the silverware. It is nothing like getting off from work and a fresh plate of Catfish and Shrimp saves the day. Thank you for making my time off peaceful. I will be back to enjoy the positive attitudes, along with calming environment.
The drinks were honestly really good and the food was decent, but the overall experience was disappointing. The inside porch area was dirty, there was literally a bird’s nest inside, and the floors were covered with leaves like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. What bothered me most was that I requested plastic utensils because I’m allergic to the cobalt/Nickel in sterling silver, and my request was still declined. Until i asked for a manager. This used to be one of my favorite spots. I would always go while I was getting my car washed next door. I came today to have my usual shrimp salad and gumbo and when I walked in I was greeted and told to sit wherever I wanted. Keep in mind no one was there but one customer at the bar. After I was seated about 2 minutes later a couple of a different race was seated. She took the time to walk me through the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations that ended up being spot-on.
