Very poor management/owner experience. $150/month for "gated, secured parking" - where 3/3 gates are permanently open & other people park to walk around Corktown freely. Also, does not reply to resident requests or emails, unless they need money from you. Would not recommend to a friend, nor an acquaintance. The Corner Apartments was the worst housing experience I have ever had. From May, when I moved in, through December, when I broke my lease, I did not consistently have reliable hot water or a front door that properly shut, locked, or was insulated. In December, a BSEED inspection officially documented these violations. Over seven months, maintenance entered my unit more than 40 times, repeatedly attempting to address these issues, among others. I adore my apartment ! The location is excellent, offering quick access to eateries, retail establishments, and public transportation. I also save so much time and worry with the in-unit laundry and dryer, which is a game changer. The management staff particularly, Jason is professional and quick to respond, taking care of issues as soon as they arise and has been beyond accommodating. Took over two weeks to fix my dryer. I suggested what they should have done in the first place which was switch mine out with one they have sitting around so they did. The washer and dryer are a bit small and I wish we had rooftop access. But I feel safe and comfortable in my building. My apartment is clean and so is the building. Edit *** I moved out in February and they still haven't paid me my deposit. It's been 4 months now and I'm going to have to take legal action
