The surgeon I saw was excellent, the CORE Institute was substantially absent whenever a new appointment needed to be made. They did not know how to work with Tricare so the necessary referrals were only completed after numerous phone calls. They did not answer messages, on the portal and shifted blame to other departments. I had an appointment today with Dr. Degan. The experience for me was that he honestly didn't care how much pain I was in. He asked me to get up on a table in the office and I was struggling to do it and he didn't offer to help he just sat there and watched as i struggled and grimaced in pain. Then when he went to examine my knee he was being rough even after I had already explained to him how I was unable to bend or flex it. Dr Steven Myerthall let me tell you he came highly recommended total knee replacement 9/9/21 he did not even come out or call to let my family member know of the outcome of the surgery etc. .(the nurse did). He did not engage with me prior to surgery I was just taken on back day of surgery after the anesthesiologist made the visit. I did not see him post discharge either.
