I've been wanting to check out this cafe for a while now and finally I got to do that on my day off. This place is a true gem . As soon as you walk in your greeted by the owners they were so nice and friendly. The atmosphere is very pleasant with old tunes playing and vintage decor and concrete art. The drinks and sandwiches are fresh and made that morning what a treat. We enjoyed our snacks outside they have a few tables to sit at with your dog to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. I visited today with my lab after understanding that The Concrete Cafe was dog-friendly. I was surprised to be told that only small dogs are permitted inside. I completely understand that a business can have its own policies, but I couldn’t find any publicly posted information indicating that there is a size restriction. What was particularly confusing was seeing another customer seated inside with a small dog while I was told my dog was not acceptable in the future. Just had a sandwich, cake and a bottle of water for $12.50, excellent quality a price
This is one of my favourite places to have a great coffee and hang out with my friends. It’s a chill atmosphere with vinyl playing, eclectic collection of curios, and lots of concrete in various forms, all curated and created by the owners, always tasty baked goods, and I love the boxed sandwiches too!
The best coffee shop in that area, worth the stop if you’re on the 401!
