An historical building dating back to 1794 that was once the home of Matthew Thornton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Opened in 2005, the Common Man Merrimack serves the same American fare with New England flair as our other Common Man locations.

Head upstairs and try the cheese with crackers! Mild & goes perfect with their German Riesling.
Awesome place! Great waitstaff. Original food. We split the "Not your grandfather's BLT" and the butternut & apple soup. I'm stuffed! Love the "Common Man Beer".

I come here every time I visit the area from FL becuz everything here is gr8! I love the seasonal menu that always changes! The upstair bar is gr8 if u r by urself-friendly people always!
Delicious food, wonderful staff, get atmosphere. Baked mac and cheese in an area favorite for a reason; it's delicious. As well at the haddock and cucumber salad.
The mac & cheese is VERY good!! The mango-mint drink is so-so... Could do without the mint.
Check out the awesome assortment of vintage magazine ads, and definitely try a cheeseburger pizza.
