We have been using the Cleaning Authority since September. After a friendly consultation with the owner, Will, we decided to do a bi-weekly clean to start with the intention of moving to a weekly schedule once rapport has been established. I have been more or less happy with the work the ladies have done, minus a couple plants knocked over. I think they are expected to work very quickly. However, Sunday night we came home after being away for 5 days and found that they had left our back door wide open--not locked and not even closed. The door opens into a room with an expensive Steinway grand piano (now drastically out of tune, since it was quite cold over the weekend) and some fussy orchids. Service not as stated in contract – I changed to the Cleaning Authority several years ago with the understanding that they charge more, but deliver better service. My husband and I have been very disappointed in the service. The 'hand wiped' means a feather duster and if something is not removed with the duster, there is no effort made to clean with soap and water. After repeated issues with our team, we finally decided to locate another service.
A great company to work with! – I've had nothing but good experiences with The Cleaning Authority. They cleaned our house for several years before the economy tanked, and now I've been fortunate enough to be able to hire them back and the owern, Will, is still a delight to work with. If there's a problem (and any problem has always been very small and due to my personal preferences) Will is very responsive and accomodating. I'm happy to have such a clean house again!
Terrible Experience – Please do not hire the cleaning authority. Will Owen, the owner, will take advantage of you and personally assure you are disappointed and cheated. He is not someone you should do business with. If I could give no stars for this review, I would.
satisfaction not guaranteed – I changed to the cleaning authority because they guearantee your satisfaction based on a checklist they use. They also say they will do deep cleaning on a rotation so that every 4th cleaning, your entire house has been detailed. More than half of my cleans were not serviced according to the checklist. Unresponsive and disorganized – We had a nice guy come round and give us an estimate, but when I called him back to say that we would like to go ahead and book their service, he didn't call back. I called again twice. Eventually they did return our calls and said that the earliest time they could manage was two weeks away. We said OK, and made a booking. The day came and they did not turn up. We rang to talk to them about it and they said that we were not even on the computer. They seem very disorganized.
Broken items. Stolen jewelry. Decent cleaning. – I used the Cleaning Authority for several years. I've had some things broken in the past, but now I've had $500 worth of jewelry stolen. On the few occasions that I've had a problem, such as something broken or this last time with stolen jewely, they would either call me at work really late after I've gone home or call me at home before I left work. Great service! – The owner, Mark, came to our house and was very professional and courteous. The people who came to clean our house did a very impressive job. Our house couldn't have been any cleaner! The cost is reasonable considering everything they do and the peace of mind this service gives us. I would highly recommend this company.
