We fell in love with how much the apartments received sunlight during the day even though it is surrounded by loads of tall buildings. I also love the location, as it is so close to Trader Joe's & Whole Foods. I looked at around 10 different apartments the same day, and this was our last apartment that we looked at. I’ve been living at The Civic for four years now and I’m looking forward to the fifth year. The location is just fantastic! Staff are amazing, friendly, understanding, and supportive. Any service request for unit gets fixed very fast. The gym, lobby, rooftop, mailing room,… are organized and super clean. The security team are always there for us 24/7. My experience has been nothing but AMAZING! Thank you to the Civic team specifically Tanya and Adnan.
The Building: • The amenities include a gym and a roof deck, though the latter is often too windy and cold to enjoy. • Location is a highlight, with easy access to Civic Center, BART, and various public transit options. • Just two blocks away from Hayes Valley, making it a great area for dining and shopping. • Unfortunately, the neighborhood has a significant homeless presence, contributing to safety concerns. I had an extremely frustrating experience with this apartment complex. I scheduled a tour for 1 PM and arrived right on time, but the building requires someone to let you in. Despite calling multiple times, no one was picking up. After waiting, someone from the leasing office finally let me in, only to inform me that the agent who was supposed to give me the tour had just gone into a meeting.
