History Fort Valley was founded in the 1820s as a Native American trading post at the intersection of two early Indian trails. That crossing of trails made it a natural place for North Carolinian James Abbington Everett to set up a trading post. The trains and traffic control in this town are a freaking disaster. I commute through town 5 days per week(that's 10 times round trip) and it is so out of control. I have a one hour commute that gets 15 minutes added at least once per week. I used to stop and get a meal or gas at least twice per week, but I'm going to start taking my chances on the interstate and driving 15 miles out of my way, it would be less stressful
Something needs to be done about the trains. It is absolutely ridiculous that they just get to shut down traffic constantly. Why can't they run at night? Why is it ok for them to block roads?
Peach County Seat-Fort Valley, Georgia 31030 is a great Lil' Piece of the Peach State! Home to the Fort Valley State College Wildcats! Also, Home to the Blue Bird Bus Company! Home Sweet Home! :-) Unfortunately, there exist in this small town-segregated neighborhoods, Proms and Class Reunions. ALL else is Peachy! ^-^
