History Fort Valley was founded in the 1820s as a Native American trading post at the intersection of two early Indian trails. That crossing of trails made it a natural place for North Carolinian James Abbington Everett to set up a trading post. It seems there is a need for some major education relative to public photography. The officers arresting the citizen journalist for photography and then trying to make up laws as they go are without a doubt some of the most uninformed officers I have ever seen! you all had BETTER get your law enforcement officers trained or your gunna get sue'd [if your not already]...you cant have IGNORANT officers arresting law abiding citizens just because they WANT or for exercising their constitutional right/rights to photograph ...what a bunch of morons ...i hope that photographer sue's your city into bankruptcy an EVERY officer involved is FIRED !
Arresting & detaining US citizen for filming in a public place is a disgrace. You should be ashamed. To bad the good citizens and taxpayers in your city will be the ones who eventually have to pay for your untrained PD mistake.
Enough with the potato guns and fireworks with people in this City. Fourth of July is over. People have to work.
