If I could give this place no stars, I would. Just had the worst dining experience of my life. No surprise though, this place is known for TERRIBLE service. Waited an hour to be seated and then 30 minutes at the table without staff even acknowledging my party. Left after that and won't be returning. All the flies in the place ruined my appetite anyway...
My family ate at City Beer Hall tonight and my daughter has a very sensative gluten allergy. She ordered steamed clams which should have been a gluten free choice. But when they were served, they had bread points on top of them. Simply taking them off is not enough...one crumb can cause a reaction. She felt ill and we had to leave. The bread should have been listed on the menu to make people aware of glutens. All restaurants need to be more careful about these sensativities.

Best lamb slider and table service ever. Will return if I travel to Albany
18.00 pp for a lunch party of 50 + that runs out of food because the cook was told only 2 sliders per person + 1 side and water. Some guests showing up late only got the side. The manager would only bring pizza that is free at the bar, considering many in our party were buying drinks.
Up from the City and came to the Beer Hall on recommendation from my hotel. Great food, really great beer, and the best server I've experienced just about anywhere. If you drop in, be sure you get Katija to take care of you!
Went to City Beer Hall today for brunch.I had been there before and it was great. Today... Not so much. The Bloody Mary was sub-par and my friend who is a little pickier than I am asked for the breakfast sandwich but instead of a fried egg she wanted it scrambled. We were told that the kitchen doesn't like to do "mods" and that they would "prefer" she order something else.
