The rooms are a bit outdated, and lots of rats running around. When I got out of the car one was running in front of the door to the hotel. But that's to be expected. Lots of rats in DC. Big king one on Pennsylvania Ave. So it's to be expected. Haha
This hotel follows unethical and deceptive business practices. Stay away, you have been forewarned. (i) I arrived earlier than the check in time and asked if a room is available for early check in. They said yes and checked me in. But they failed to inform me that they were going to charge me $30 early arrival fee. Charging me this fee without informing me is an unethical business practice. (ii) There was a credit card processing fee of over $10 on my bill. Again, I should have been informed about it at the time of checking ... read more
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Churchill Hotel. The front desk staff, including Dana and Sophia, were friendly and responsive during our visit. Candida provided excellent cleaning services and assistance during our stay. We recommend this hotel to other travelers.
Room was dingy. There was a mildew like smell in the hallways. When I put my blinds down, there was stains/dirt all over them. I went to use the bathroom and tried shutting the door and quickly learned the bathroom didn’t shut. I am not sure how this is a 4 star hotel…
