I had a disappointing experience today at The Children’s Place. While waiting in line to check out, I saw a woman in front of me ask the cashier (a Black woman) if someone could help her find a specific pair of pants in another size. The cashier kindly asked a white male employee who was folding clothes to check in the back, and he did. He returned shortly after with the correct size for her. Update. I came back a week ago, and I was happy to see Josh (not John) again. He was very helpful, and presentable. I'm not sure if the store hired new people, but the other lady at the register talked too much, and was kind of obnoxious. I think she said she was from Town East. The gentleman working the register was very friendly, and helpful. We asked if he was a manager, and my husband and I were shocked to find out that he wasn't. We should have asked for his name before leaving, but I think his name was John.
I went shopping looking for clothes for my daughter, had no idea what to get. The staff was very friendly and helpful! They made this shopping experience enjoyable! Will definitely be back!
