The food, drinks and staff are fantastic. The shakes are incredible. They played Bowie. Need I say more ?

I've been going to Chicago Diner since the 80's. Always an awesome meal. I always feel at home.
Service was better than average but not fantastic. Willing to give them the benefit of the doubt though as it was a busy night. Our appetizer (the taquitos) were underwhelming at best. What blew us away was the texture of the BBQ wings. Absolutely amazing what they do in that kitchen. Stay away from the vegan cheese. Overall definitely would recommend but as usual expect a couple things you might not like.
I live in the metropolitan New York City area where there is no shortage of excellent Vegan food. The Reuben Sandwich at the Chicago Diner was the best I've had. Anywhere.
I've been a vegetarian/vegan for the past 25 years and The Chicago Diner is hands down the very best representation of a Midwestern/Southern comfort food restaurant I've ever had... really, there's nothing else like it. What a special and AMAZING place!
We arrived for dinner less than an hr before closing(which I know can be annoying) and we didnt feel rushed at all. Food was delicious and atmosphere is fun. Highly recommended!
