I have been going to the Chattaway for 30 years now. Always a great meal. My only complaint is that they are Cash Only. I forgot that and last night, because of this policy, I had to leave a tip that was less than the waitress deserved in order to have enough to pay the bill. They have an ATM but I'm too cheap to pay the service charges.
This business is a parasite in this community! How can anyone eat here knowing that this business is pushing gentrification into the poor and working class black community? While you order your frozen fish and chips.. Chattaway is forcing the price of housing too high for us to afford! This restaurant is an enemy to the community it's surrounded by.
Loved the garden and the entertainment. The burger was super and sharing it with Carolyn Bregman was priceless!
Whenever I'm in St. Pete have to come here. Brought my sons and they loved it. Our server Brittney was fantastic!!!!
If you want a unique eating experience, The Chattaway is it! It's not just the food, it's the outdoor seating, kitschy decor, the folk singer, koi pond, flowers, bathtubs......we love it.
