Not Happy I've been one to have my children's b-day parties @ The Charlie Horse and had a great time .But my husband and i had plans to meet up w/family and friends for a night out of dinner and drinks w/no kids .We arrived @ 7:00pm and had asked for a table for 8,our friends were all on their way.We were told we had to wait 50-60 min. good food good food..great family place..my niece loves the games there..gotta get fried pickles!! its not on the menu but if u ask they can make it for you!! oh and the chicken pot pie is delish!!
This place was the site of many terrible memories I will admit: Some people will enjoy the Charlie Horse. I, however, was a sad child, unwilling to enjoy pumping quarters into a video game machine whilst I waited for an underwhelming, expensive hamburgler.
Good As A Kid's Place I think that the food is good, better than your average family place. Onion strips=best ever. Good adult menu, but surprisingly lame kiddie menu. And of course the atmosphere would be loud, it's a KIDS RESTUARNT... The games are somewhat fun, but prizes are a rip off. (A stuffed animal for 1000-something tickets? Come on.) Wouldn't recommend for an adult evening out.
noisy and unpredictable While many families may want to go there to just let the kids venture off to play games, it's no place for a conversation for adults. The games make it so noisy and if you desire to play a game of pool, you have to gamble that they might be open since they tend to like to rent out them to parties. Drinks are weak too. PROS: close entertainment CONS: noise
Awesome Concept, Awful Food I've been coming here for nearly a decade, however this place is turning more into Dave & Buster's every year. What that means is, the atmosphere is awesome but the food is barely edible. Aside from the awful food (cold steak in a salad, brushchetta that was just off, & charging for bread others provide for free) it's EXPENSIVE! Oh, & they even gave us the wrong Dessert to boot. I'm literally never coming back.
