They love cats, but love your money more Recently my cat became anemic and obviously did not feel well. I took her to the Cat Doctor, who recommended the $800-900 full bloodwork. Now, she had a flea infestation, and it was pretty clear that was the cause of the problem. Unfortunately, I fell for the $900 bloodwork. Guess what? A thousand dollars of tests, and the vet could not tell me anything at all. She did say that it *MIGHT* be because my cat has worms, so I took her in and paid another $150 for worm shots and pills. The... read more

We have been taking our cats to the Cat Doctor for 17 years. They have always been very professional, helpful and upfront about costs. I would definitely recommend Dr. Weigner to any cat owner.

Drs. Weigner and Stumf are both wonderful; Dr. Weigner is one of the very few board certified feline physicians around. Very calming atmosphere and wonderful people. I have 10 cats and have been going to them since I moved to Atlanta. You should know that they are very professional and will do anything to help your cat--the level of service is better than that from many human physicians. They are not going to run extensive tests on a healthy cat brought in for an annual checkup and shots. Recommendation: start when you cat i... read more

The best cat vet Shortly after I got my first cat, I signed him up for a visit to the vet (one I googled). After the visit (which was ok) he developed a cat cold (which, at the time, freaked me out), so I called the vet I was using, and they were unable to see him for a few days (and seemingly unconcerned). Out of panic, I called The Cat Doctor. Over the phone Libby told me what the problem may be and that I could bring him in that day. The Cat Doctor has been my vet ever since (for 3 years now), and I'm always very pleased.... read more

Very disappointing visit – I took my very old cat in for her first visit to The Cat Doctor. I thought maybe something was mildly wrong with her and this would be a good place to have her checked out. I was given just one and only option.....a test for $850.00 (sent to a lab) to see if she had any disease or sickness. I thought this was out of line considering I have never payed anything like that for testing. The doctor said that the "in-office" testing machines did not work well. I payed over $100.00 for the visit and left ... read more

Comfortable, Caring & Confident Dr, Stump is the best she has treated my cat like he was her own, she is extremely gentle and concientous to you and your pet, go the extra mile with top of the line service and the best doctors around. my cat has been going there since he was a kitten. The office is a remodeled home and my cat feels so comfortable there he gets out and explores the fireplace and bookshelves. This is absolutely the best place for declawing as they surgically remove the claws which is less likely to cause futur... read more

LOTS OF ATTENTION The doctor who saw my cat , twiggs, was so gentle when he gave her shots, she did not even know it was happening. He explaines everything to me from the get-go. After it was over he even gave us samples of some feline products to take home. A real nice place. PROS: gentle CONS: long way from gainesville
