I am a Customer of Davey Tree, I have had work done on my Property and I am completely Satisfied. The team that preformed work where very professional and they did a clean up after each visit. I had a tree badly damaged by Squirrels a section of tree was in danger of breaking and would have done damage to my home if left to natures high winds. I will recommend Davey Tree to Friends.
We called Davey to come out to remove tree limbs that were overhanging our property. The "Sales Arborist" came out to meet with us so we could tell him which limbs we wanted removed. After he left, I thought we were on the same page as far as what we wanted done and what they were able to provide. No one could be home at the time they came out but I was assured that a picture had been given to the actual "arborist" and they would know which limbs to remove. Client met with a sales arborist from Davey Tree for a consultation regarding pruning of a large Cottonwood tree near their property in a common ground area. The Cottonwood tree had several limbs encroaching the client’s property and was cause for concern, especially in the event of a storm. The Davey Tree arborist and client discussed which limbs(4-5) needed to be removed in order to mitigate this risk. After the job was completed the client insisted that more needed to be removed. As far as I am concerned this business runs a huge scam. I received unsolicited correspondence in the mail stating that they were going to come to my home to fertilize at a cost of $284. I did not request that service and have never signed a contract providing for annual fertlization. Ironically, I had them fertilize last year and that was guaranteed to last for 2 years so the fact that are even proposing to fertilize after a year is a scam in itself. My complaint is that I have to write to them to opt out of this unsolicite... read more
Signed up for the lawn fertilization service for the year. It is supposed to be five treatments and also includes spot treatment in between for any weeds that surface. As of 10/6/2017 I have received 2 of the 5 treatments, last service date was in July of 2017. My lawn is full of every kind of weed imaginable. I have called 5-10 times to have this issue addressed and everytime I am given a new excuse as to why it has not been treated. A second occasion surfaced where we needed the service of Davey -- Rob K***** (Arborist) once again came to our home to check our need. He could have sold us $100's of dollars of service to us however, he made suggestions and established follow-up as might be required. Upon offering to pay; he advised us that "this was the Davey way..." -- for this trip no charge. Rob's expertise in his field is a tremendous help to all of us he encounters. So, DTE I guess contracted Davey Tree Service to trim trees along the power lines in Grosse Ile, MI. The Trees with white dots on them were to be trimmed, whoever when I came home from work, I found a tree in my backyard with a white dot left about 7 feet high with one branch left. They cut a tree on my neighbors side and pilled the wood in my property. They also took out about 8 trees between my neighbor and I which just needed to be trimmed (just like they did 3-4 years ago).
