The Campbell was absolutely gorgeous after the Designer Showcase finished with it back in the day. Sadly, it has been badly let go. Furnishings don’t get replaced. We stayed in room 223 last weekend. We saw peeling trim paint, along with cracked tile, exposed wires,. and a dirty rug that I kept tripping on because the corner had worked its way loose from the rug pad. Built in 1927 the Casa Loma was built as a 34 room hotel. Interstate 44 left it dilapidated in the 90’s and was bought and refurbished to its original splendor. The hotel is said to be haunted. Google it. It’s fun. There’s a little bar attached.
Great experience old hotel that has a cool vibe. If you enjoy old but well maintained stay here and enjoy the atmosphere
