Yum! This place is a trademark of Bemidji. I'm sure almost everyone in the town has sat in the back room sipping coffee and having a conversation or listening to acoustic music or participating in open mic night. The coffee is good and the atmosphere is great.
A Turn for the Worse... We just got back from a late lunch at the Cabin in Bemidji. This has been a favorite spot for years, but today we had a pretty disappointing experience. The young person bringing the food back to our table was jostled by a departing customer and 1/2 of the food fell off the trays he was carrying. I went to tell the servers behind the counter that there had been an accident and the one who had prepared the food snapped at me that she had already sent the food out. Homemade food,cozy calm atmosphere. The food here is excellent and VERY much homemade. It's too bad the first poster had a lousy experience but it only happened that one time so I wouldn't hold it against them. The service has always been great for me. I work downtown and so mostly call in my orders for pick up. The food is great and they have a very large menu for a coffee house. I am not a vegetarian but they have a lot of vegetarian and glucose free/ all natural type stuff available. (One of the few places in town that ca... read more
