The Burren

4.5

About this business

This large, friendly and award-winning Irish pub is divided into a front bar and a back room. Live music is played every night, and many nights there are simultaneous performances in the two rooms. Guinness is a very popular draft, but there are plenty of imports, microbrews and other beers to choose from. The menu is basic: appetizers and salads, burgers and sandwiches, roasted meats. Irish dishes include Shepherd's Pie, Guinness Stew, Irish Breakfast (on weekends), and Roast Dinner (on Sunday evenings).

The Burren is Awesome – The food is fantastic! Whether you get a burger or baked fish, they do everything just right, and the service is great! All those Irish lilts... so adorable! And for the money they give you a lot of what you're

fun bar I like this place on Thursdays for the 80s band. Its crowded then but a good time. They have some good beers on tap too. Don't really know if its fun on the weekend. But a good time on Thursdays.

Eat Meet and Greet The live music in the back room makes the Burren awesome for starting off a fun night. The authentic Irish servers and their cute accents add to the overall feel of an Irish pub experience. Good ales, good food. Gets a little crowded on the week-ends so get there early.

A nice place to get dinner and drinks – I recently stopped in at The Burren and found it to be a very comfortable place to get dinner and drinks. The fish and chips was good and the place had a good selection of beers on tap. I was pleased with the service and will definitely go back.

No finer place to enjoy a pint – I can't think of a single place I'd rather drink a Guinness. Friendly staff, exceptional music, esp. Thursday nights. In my opinion the food is underrated. Healthy mix of nearby college crowd and older folks looking for great atmosphere. Always festively decorated - you never have to wait long to place your order. Top notch in my opinion.

Irish Best – TheBurren is simply the best Irish bar in the New England.......I can say this because I have been to most of them. It is one step from being back in Ireland....Food, Atmosphere. Beer, it doesn't get any better!!!

Perfect Neighborhood Pub – Without a doubt one of the best bars in Boston. When visitors come into town they are all looking for the quintescential "Boston Irish Pub" and this is it. Always great music in the back room, always a good crowd with a mix of young, old, townies, yuppies. You can arrive in cut-offs or a suit...doesn't matter. Also the Swinging Johnsons on Thursday nights are always a fun cover band.
