Great atmosphere with delicious grade A burgers. This was one of the best burgers I've had in a long long time. Next time I'm in Geneva, I know where I'm going!
Burgers were crazy good. All ground brisket made for an amazingly juicy, delicious patty. I did the French dip, my wife did the Inside Out. Both were sooo good. Plus great beers and bloodied. Great addition to 3rd St.
Really like Barrel + Rye, so we were excited to try. Pretty busy on a rainy Sunday during a Bears game. Comfortable space, menu looks fantastic. Sadly, food was just ok. We split the Tots appetizer & the pimento cheese burger with a side of mac n cheese. Need some refinement in execution - burger was over cooked and everything lacked seasoning. We'll try again in a month or two. The potential is great, just needs practice.
My family and I are huge fans of Barrel and Rye. A sister restaurant a few blocks away. The Atmosphere was beautiful. Our Appetizer Homemade tator tots fried in duckfat, braised short rib, Parmesan Mornay, grilled leeks, drizzled gravy was amazing! Burgers were good. I will be coming back soon to try other menu items.
