The Bullet Hole is a terrific place to shoot and buy new firearms. It's been around for many years and I believe it's because of the staff, really great people!
It is difficult to believe any of the negative reports, and easy to believe the positive, female-friendly report. Heck, I've let quite a few new shooters into my stall to shoot a variety of my guns just to be friendly. Weeknights are less busy,and is my suggestion for new shooters and first timers.
In a business that is largely dominated by men, I find many places that treat women with a condescension reminiscent of a pre-suffrage era. Being a business owner myself, I am acutely aware of this pre-conceived notion that women are irrelevant and uneducated, not teachable in this manly arena of guns and ammo. Horrible Range/Business – I've been going to this pathetic range for years now . Primarily because it was the only indoor range in town. Do yourself a favor, and save your money. Completely rude staff (except the armorer/gunsmith who is really helpful), and a horrible range. The range is terribly antiquated. And today, I had some old fart come out of the main office area and told me i was being unsafe and he didn't feel comfortable/he was nervous because of how I wasn't pointing down range. I read all the negative reviews and when I went there I was ready for someone rude or not helpful....it wasnt busy when I went in and I was helped immediatly. I signed up for a membership and the guy was very helpful, he wasnt rude at all, he really went out of his way to make me feel welcome I was very happy with how I was treated. TOTAL LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM I came to this place after talking to a local gun dealer. He wanted me to take my wife to the shop to test out a gun before we purchased it. I had never been to the store before. I called ahead to make sure that there where no appointments needed. The reception on the phone was polite. What a joke... – I've been going here since high school, i'm 25 now, and every time i walk into their store i have a story to tell. Either someone is a complete dick to me that works there, their prices are higher than i've ever seen, and the people that work there know nothing of the products they sell. Went in for a holster one day for my chrome browning bda and he gives me a composite glock 17 case, first time i tried to fit it i put a scuff of the side of my browning, thanks dumbasses. GO ELSEWHERE – The place is a sham. They have expensive guns, they have expensive ammo. Staff has been equally rude just about every time I've been there. I tried to make a purchase there one time... The guy wouldn't even give me his opinion on Beretta. Just goes to show you how pathetic their customer service is. I'd rather give my money to Cabelas.
