This homey, yet sophisticated, kitchen excels at traditional and contemporary American cookery, emphasizing seasonal specialties, Bay Area sea fare and local organic produce. Using fresh and healthful ingredients, executive chef Robert Price and his staff prepare appetizers such as oysters bingo, barbecued curried mussels, and house-smoked Atlantic salmon. These preludes segue tastefully to hearty house favorites like Zinfandel-braised beef short ribs, grilled skirt steak, barbecue baby-back ribs, smoked Sonoma duck, and var... read more

Food is great and service inside is very good, but the valet person seems to have a "god" complex. He was very rude and disrespectful when people were not doing exactly what he wanted in the parking lot. He definitely tainted the visit and should be retrained for what customer service means and looks like.
On Saturday I was there, and the restaurant needs to improve the quality of the Raw oysters those I ask was really small and doesn't look like you are in the shoreline its looks like you are in the middle of a desert that is to difficult to get oysters. An other point that you need to improve its on the flying flies (monster fly was around my place and stops near to the windows). Finally el lamp shanks was awesome no place could cooked as well as you, congratulations on this.
Stellar food & service- Buckeye is one of our favorite Marin dining spots. Fresh oysters and heirloom tomatoes were great starters! Pork chop is one of my fav- so moist & tender. Lamb shank fell off the bone in a mouth watering sauce! Key lime pie and lemon pudding rounded off a perfect evening. It might be off 101 but this place is not your ordinary roadhouse
We sat upstairs and it was a little loud but the food, drinks, service and friends were excellent. I would go again for sure
I have soooo many memories of the Buckeye for so many years. Glad it's still thriving.
First time here tho we've driven by for years. Beautiful decor, great food & wonderful service. We definitely will not pass by again!
