The food here is amazing. I had the pear, spring greens, feta, walnut salad and my friend had the greens, tomato and fried okra salad. Both were huge and delicious. We both had the trout special with crab slaw topping, sauted vegetables, and risotto. Once again, portions were huge. My only complaint would be that the trout was slightly dry. Service was great and the place was quiet making it easy to have a conversation.
Hostess was on her phone when we arrived. Decore was tattered. Our waiter was very nice and attentive but left dropped food on the table from our starters for the entire meal. $50 ribeye was over cooked and barely seasoned. Menu hasn't been updated in 10 years.
By far the worst meal I have ever experienced at a so called sophisticated restaurant. My wife and I are always wanting to try new places around the area and definitely compare steak quality at all restaurants. This anniversary dinner went down in disappointment. While her filet was just subpar and I would normally get one as well, they really played up the more expensive ribeye and I thought if this was a good cut and a good chef, this may best awesome…wrong. Angus beef ribye with peppercorn sauce topping and brussel sprout medly. Food is very good. They also have a theme week once a month where you can reserve a table and choose from a limited menu.
Even though they forgot to put our appetizer order in the meal was phenomenal and they did offer us a complementary dessert due to the appetizer mistake. We thoroughly enjoyed and strongly suggest this restaurant.
