The Bombay Club was such a delight. My friend & I visited during restaurant week which offered the perfect opportunity to taste & fall in love. We were lucky enough to be waited on by Lucas who was full of good energy and attentiveness. The entire staff was pleasant which was refreshing and somehow added to the overall meal, which was already rich in flavor with a nice amount of spice. Thank you Bombay Club for a lovely evening.
We walked in at 2030 on a Thursday evening, totally under-dressed for the occasion. The woman at the front was so kind and sat us immediately, even joking with us, which made us feel better for crashing a white tablecloth place in athleisure. Especially because there was a live pianist in a very nice suit at the front of the dining room. Reminiscent of the British Raj, to which my mother’s side of the family has connections and links, but it’s about much more than that. World class. Ask for their “Nila Martini” before the new cocktail menu comes out. “Blue.” Or “blue-eyed.” It ain’t Michelin star for no reason. It’s as good as it gets. And perhaps before their new cocktail menu comes out in a couple of weeks, give their “Bharat 47” and “Masala Manhattan” a try as well. Top of the world.
