The Blues BBQ Co. was started in 2004 with $20,000, a truck and a dream. Two brothers, Patrick and Chris, decided to give the people of Frederick, MD “Real BBQ!” Most of the BBQ found in Maryland was less than average and mostly over-cooked. Dried-out beef and pork could be found at almost any BBQ Restaurant. Good BBQ needs to be smoked over wood. Great Wednesday night meal with Chris as our waiter. Great brisket and wonderful salad. Good company too. Good food, great fun and good fellowship, try it, you'll be glad you did.
As a frequent flyer at Blues... I have to say that Chris made this past Monday night an extra fun one. Totally expecting a laid back evening, he orchestrated quite the memorable evening by allowing myself and other patrons the opportunity to engage and laugh and make new friends while he provided incredible service both food and drink wise. Chris was our waiter and he was a lot of fun and super personable! As usual, the food was awesome! Blues BBQ will always be my favorite place to go to in Roanoke for excellent BBQ and service.

Bad customer service! I was there a couple of weeks ago to see a friend of mine sing. Not once did a waitress approach to see if I wanted to order any food or even something to drink. I had already looked at the menu online and knew what I wanted to order. The only time a waitress even approached me was nearly the end of the night and asked "is everything ok?". I almost said, "well it's way too late to order food, I've been sitting waiting for someone to take my order. And I tip well." I didn't see "order at the bar" anywher... read more
I haven't had this pleasant of an experience at a restaurant in a long time. Our server, Chris, did a great job at taking care of us in a timely fashion. Our food was hot and delivered quickly. The manager made sure that we were happy with our meal, which is always appreciated. Everything about our visit to Blue's today was superb!
