This place is a gem! Great atmosphere, great food, and live music! We saw Ari and the Alibis...been coming to Sarasota for 5 or 6 years...our night at Blue Rooster was the best I've ever had here. Will be a staple every time I'm here now. Well done!
My first time certainly won't be my last time! I went with friends to enjoy live music and that we did!! It was an awesome mix of jazz, then some disco inferno, and throw a little Motown in there! Something for everyone and there was plenty of dancing to be had! No partner? No worries!! Plenty of people just get up on the dance floor. My husband and I were staying at Bradenton and I wanted to enjoy good food while listening to great music, I can only tell you I found both at The Blue Rooster. The industrial look works so good. I ordered shrimps and gritts... ummmm, great choice. My husband had fried chicken, which you can order as many pieces as you can handle, he loved it. My new favorite place! Great food and drinks, reasonable prices, live music, what more could you want! Service is also great and the manager, Barbara, is the best.
Some food good, some just OK. Some servers great, some OK... Like everywhere else, depends on the day. Only impetus is to hear some live music. PARKING! Regardless of what you think those signs mean, if you think they do or don't apply to an area, whether you can see them in the far reaches in the night, whatever... This is an Incredible Small Venue with Food to match. One of the best places I have ever been. The Musicians are top notch.
