My little sister wanted me to recommend you. She has taken an injured Wood Thrush, a sick fox, and a hurt baby bird to your wildlife center over the years. You always have succeeded in bringing them back to health. Thanks for your dedication and care of the wildlife in the blue ridge area.

Completely disgusted by this place. My son and his girlfriend took 6 baby opossums here this morning after the momma died in our yard. Because we live in WV they were told the babies would be put down because we crossed state lines. I understand there are laws regarding this but 1. Center now under management of Keith Davis running like a clock. Yesterday’s emergency intake of an infant wild turkey went seamlessly. We are confident this creature is in the right place for its rehabilitation. Donor supported and community supported. We are blessed to have this facility within reach.

This was my fist time rescuing a wild animal and had no idea what to do. The center was recommended so I drove up there and dropped the little bird off. I checked in on him a few times and then finally he was ready to be returned to where I found him. What a great place! I love that places like these exist and that they make sure the injured animal is returned to his home and not released just anywhere once they’re healed. The center is clean and the people are friendly. Glad to know they’re there should I find another injur... read more
