I used to like them and bring animals to be treated here. That was until they got rid of the founder and vet. Unfortunately, I believe they have become corrupt.

They JUST GOT A VET IN FEB - a few months ago!! They were JUST rehabbers & NOT authorized or LICENCED BY THE STATE!! The Board FORCED OUT THE FOUNDER, Dr Belinda Burwell, all because she REFUSED to give free vet care to board members for their PETS. They now are SPAMMING people saying "Due to technical difficulties, we have a new website address and email addresses"!! Umm, no!! YOU ARE NOT THE SAME!! Dr Burwell did this for wildlife!! Please do not donate your money here. I have requested my last donation be returned because they are not able to provide proper treatment to our native wildlife after giving the boot to Dr. Burwell.

Folks, I volunteer here every week. I was up there for 40 hours in the summer. I have volunteered at four different wildlife rehabs. None of them can hold a candle to Blue Ridge. They provide hospital standards. The patients come first at all times. I have watched rehabbers do everything in their power to save even the tiniest of creature. Unfortunately, there have been some difficulties. All organizations go through them. The others who are posting here have only heard one side of the story. I've gotten to know the Wildlife Rehabilitators and have seen their passion for their job. They work hard every single day with a dedication that is impressive. BRWC is made up of a whole team of people who have put in literal blood and sweat to rescue wildlife.
