I absolutely love this place. I’m not a foster parent but the idea to be able to shop for the foster kids and their families is incredible. It’s just not for kids but young adults in the system as well. This is always my go to donations spot.
Even though I was referred by DFCS and told in court that we would be able to use this resource, they refused to help my foster child. We had already been several times with the same paperwork within the last year. For some reason after this visit, I received a rude phone call of a woman accusing me of wrongdoing for coming here. Then they stated that even with the referral they would not serve us. It's just shameful. I receive a stipend from DFCS and my child is still considered a foster child.
Bloom is an incredible nonprofit with a team of genuinely caring people at the heart of it. I'm continually impressed with their programs, resources, and everything they stand for! They are dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of foster kids and families in Georgia. Wonderful organization!
